This policy covers freshgospelstories.org and the Fresh Gospel Stories apps for Android and iOS.

No accounts, no ads, no tracking. There is nothing to sign up for. The site and the apps show no advertising and use no analytics, advertising or tracking services.
Reading stories. When you read a story, its view count goes up by one. The website remembers which stories you have read and which reactions you have left in a session cookie, so the "Fresh" page can show you something new. The apps keep that same list on your device instead; it never leaves your phone except as a list of story numbers sent with a request so the server can skip stories you have already read.
Reactions. When you press a reaction button ("I am inspired", etc.), we store the reaction with your IP address so the same connection cannot add the same reaction to a story twice.
Sharing your own story. When you declare a story we store what you wrote, the nickname you chose (or "Anonymous"), the date it happened, your email address, your IP address, and an approximate city, state and country looked up from that IP address. A moderator reads every story before it is published. Once published, the story, nickname, date and approximate location are shown publicly. Your email address and IP address are never shown or shared; the email address is only used if the moderator needs to contact you about your story.
Sharing with others. We do not sell or share your information with anyone.
