Christian evangelism encounters to encourage us to share the gospel of Jesus Christ

Gospel Stories (20)

I went out to do some last minute shopping and decided to take some tracts just in case I got the boldness. For some reason I was feeling trepidation and just had no boldness whatsoever to share the gospel. It was Christmas Eve and I passed several people in the grocery store with my right hand holding a gospel message in my hoodie pouch. I didn't have any boldness. I prayed "God, give me love for my neighbors, give me boldness please"

I walked down one aisle and a man was there and I got the boldness to offer him a gospel message. I asked him if he was going to heaven, he said "probably not" and I tried to witness to him. He seemed like he wanted to keep shopping so I went on.
As I was standing in line, I offered the guy in front a gospel message and he accepted it. I noticed he had a big case of beers. Sometimes I decide to say something in reference to the beers but today I did not and was just happy he accepted a message.
I offered one to 2 more people and they declined.
As I was paying for my groceries, I realized I had already offered the lady who was a cashier one already.
Another lady who worked there who always declines a gospel message, was bagging and I mentioned something like "I know you don't want one" and she said "There is a sign on the door saying you cannot hand those out"

I said "Oh"

Then I said.. "I guess I'll just have to use my words then..."

I was kind to her knowing she was a bit agitated at me for handing them out and I also had the knowledge that sharing the gospel is not always cookies and cream.
As I was leaving, I searched the entrance and door for any signs and couldn't find anything.
I'm not sure if she had any position of authority or not, but no one told the armed security guard, at least that I know of.

Merry Christmas today. Remember that the one we worship came as a baby and the wise men fell down to worship Him. Give Christ the due honor today.
